IU Science, Technology, and Research Scholars (STARS) Program

The IU STARS Program gives a select group of science majors an opportunity to conduct research while earning a bachelor’s degree at IU.

Here’s what IU STARS offers:
•    Four years of laboratory research experience as an undergraduate starting in the first semester at IU
•    Mentoring by a leading faculty scientist throughout the undergraduate career
•    Participation in the annual IU STARS Research Symposium providing excellent research presentation experience
•    Excellent preparation for graduate study and for challenging jobs in the sciences
•    Students may receive academic credit for their STARS research. Contact the Program Manager for more details.

For outstanding high school students who are planning a career in science, IU STARS can give them the competitive edge necessary for success.
